However, questions still regularly come in through the contact form. That's perfectly fine. We're more than happy to help with that! Although each question varies slightly, there tend to be certain overlaps. Hence, a quick FAQ below!
Can I try Presscloud?
Absolutely! You can very easily and completely free create your own Presscloud account. Then you can view all functionalities from the dashboard. From here, you can even use the Presscloud AI Generator™ to have a press release written immediately. However, to actually send the press release and compile press lists, a subscription is required. Fortunately, there are several options so it always suits your situation.
There are two ways to compile a press list within Presscloud:
- You can manually go through our database to select journalists from a specific category. So, suppose you write about sports, it would be logical to tick the 'Sports' category and compile your press list from there. You can also start from a specific medium. If you only write about financial matters, it might be wise to select only journalists from the Financieele Dagblad. This is also easily done via Presscloud. By manually compiling a press list, you keep full control.
- An alternative is our AI tool for compiling press lists. The smart algorithm of Presscloud analyzes your press release and automatically selects the right journalists. The tool looks at similar topics that the journalists have recently written about, ensuring your message reaches the right people. Moreover, it saves you a lot of time!
Adding your own contacts is also very easy with Presscloud. When you have an account and go to 'Media' in your dashboard, there is the 'Contacts' section. Here, you can easily upload your own contacts using our template file, or choose to add them one by one.
However, the above-mentioned AI tool for compiling press lists does not include your own contacts. Hence, we recommend reviewing the generated press list and possibly supplementing it with your own contacts.
Do you offer a 100% guarantee that publications will result from Presscloud?
To give a short answer: no. Despite an average of 3.5 publications accompanying a press release via Presscloud over the past year, we cannot provide a 100% guarantee that publications will result from your press release(s).
With PR, you always take a risk: you create a press release and share it with the media, hoping for 'free publicity'. However, that does not necessarily result in publicity. The number of publications depends on the content quality, the press list, and even the timing. Fortunately, with our experience and knowledge, we can minimize the risk and advise on how best to get noticed in the news.
