A successful campaign is great, and we like to highlight that (as you can see in previous success stories). However, multiple successful campaigns are even better. Once you have the momentum, it's wise to keep going. After all, the power of PR also lies in repetition.

This is well understood by Presscloud user Overstappen.nl. Even though they only started using Presscloud recently, they got off to a good start right away, and they continued at high speed.

The company

Overstappen.nl is an online comparison site that helps consumers find the best deals in areas such as energy, insurance, and telecom. The organization aims to provide consumers with insights into their expenses so that they can make informed choices and save money.

The company has developed comparison tools that offer consumers the ability to quickly and easily compare providers and switch to better options. Since their founding in 2012, they have already helped more than a million consumers achieve significant savings through their comparison services.

The news

When consumers use the comparison services, it generates data. And data is incredibly interesting for press releases (something we discussed before in this blog). Media love concrete news, hard facts, data from research, and above all: interesting conclusions that come from it.

Overstappen.nl has cleverly made use of this, sending out several press releases based on research results. The topics varied but were always relevant, and the frequency was admirable:

  • November 19: Health insurance premiums have increased by 80% in 20 years

  • December 4: Average dental insurance no longer pays off in 2026

  • December 10: Municipalities imposed nearly 30,000 fines in 2025 for zero-emission zone violations

  • December 17: Peak in home burglaries in December, only 25% of Dutch take measures

  • December 30: Last switch hours approach: 85% opt for €385 deductible for health insurance

  • December 31: Record number of Dutch wait until New Year's Eve to switch health insurance

  • December 31: Fewer and fewer Dutch take out additional health insurance for 2026

The guidance from Presscloud

The Presscloud adventure started for Overstappen.nl with a demo. During this, they were explained what you can do with Presscloud and how to best utilize the tools. This allowed them to start their first campaigns as prepared as possible.

After this, there was also some back-and-forth communication, but that's typical guidance: from timing to the press list. Otherwise, they managed independently well: they had the news, we had the tools.

The results

This has proven to be a golden combination. They have achieved too many publications to mention, so we'll highlight a few. Their first press release was picked up by, among others, NU.nl, their second by among others LINDA, then by others like De Ondernemer, and their year-end messages by the likes of De Telegraaf and NU.nl.

We dare to say with this user: this is just the beginning. On to more!
