Presscloud continues to innovate and improve constantly. This month, too, our development team has been busy. We're quite proud of the progress made, so here's an overview!
Make a copy & translate
Perhaps the most requested feature by our users: duplicating and instantly translating campaigns. Imagine working in a Belgian company. Your service extends across all of Belgium, so Dutch-speaking Flanders, but also French-speaking Wallonia. You want to send the same press release, but in multiple languages, of course, intended for media in the respective language. Previously, you had to translate the campaign manually in full. Now, with a single click, you can have an entire campaign translated into the desired language.
A super logical feature, naturally, but one that must be implemented with great care. After all, not only the press release needs to be translated; the boilerplate, the standard press list, and the accompanying email also need to be in the proper language. We've finally managed to achieve all this. Curious about the result? Quickly go to campaigns & discover it yourself!
Add notes to press release
Within campaigns, we've added another new feature: adding notes. This can be extremely useful in the following cases:
You work with a large team in the same account. It's important to keep track of who did what, otherwise, you might duplicate efforts or overwrite previously done work. Now, you can specify in the notes exactly what you did and when, so your team members are informed.
You regularly send out press releases and want to clearly distinguish each campaign. These can be labels like: “Press Release Version A” or “Targeted at Economic Editors”. Sometimes we saw users making these changes in the title of the press release, which is also visible to the outside world. We solve this with the notes feature.
You need help from someone at Presscloud. Often, you indicate this via email, to which a Presscloud staff member nicely responds. To avoid vague descriptions like “the 3rd press release from the bottom in Concepts”, we can now directly add our comments to your campaign.
Copy journalists from one press list to another
Of course, we've also built new features in the Media section of Presscloud. Imagine you've once created a press list with all relevant journalists (list A). You've now also had an updated press list compiled with AI (list B), and have subsequently removed a few journalists manually. Now you want to supplement the list with some relevant journalists from list A. We now have a great solution for that: you can precisely tick the journalists in press list A you want to do something with, and then you can choose from the following options:
Remove from press list (was already available)
Copy to press list: drop-down menu (also to B)
Move to press list: drop-down menu (only to B)
Exclude journalists
Another great new feature: excluding journalists while compiling your press list. This is ideal when you've already made a press list within Presscloud. Now you want to supplement that press list, but when you search our database for journalists, journalists already on your list keep appearing. And nobody likes duplicate work! Now, you can tick the press list, and only journalists not yet in that specific list will appear. Problem? Solved!
Finally
Is your dream feature not listed here yet, but have you already passed it to one of our team members? No worries: we continue to develop, and it might just be that your request is on the list for July.
Also, a big thank you to our development team. The platform is getting better every day, and it’s thanks to you all! Looking forward to many new successes.
