After the success of the Dutch PR Awards 2024, a sequel was inevitable. And it came, last Tuesday, October 14. The City Theatre in Haarlem served as the backdrop for a festive evening full of recognition, inspiration, and above all: pride.
During the Dutch PR Awards 2025, the most outstanding campaigns, agencies, and professionals in the field were honored. The awards serve as an annual benchmark for where the PR landscape is heading; and this year it was clear: towards strategic depth, human stories, and sustainable impact. In this overview, we highlight some winners.
PR Agency of the year: Marcommit
The big winner of the evening was Marcommit, celebrating not only its 25th anniversary but also being named PR Agency of the Year. According to the jury, Marcommit has proven over a quarter of a century that reliability and innovation can go hand in hand. With strong, visible cases, especially in B2B, the agency demonstrates how consistent craftsmanship and innovation can reinforce each other. Managing Director of Marcommit is Denise van Ooijen, who you may also know from her heartfelt words under our PR-map.
In addition to the main award, Marcommit also won PR Innovation of the Year, gold in the Tech category, and silver in B2B. An exceptional series of achievements that the jury attributes to a clear vision and sharp execution. In other words, an anniversary worthy of double celebration.
PR Person of the year: Vera Kops (TEAM LEWIS)
Vera Kops, Managing Director of TEAM LEWIS Netherlands, was also in the spotlight. She was named PR Person of the Year, a title not given lightly. Under her leadership, TEAM LEWIS achieved a convincing Dutch presence and became an authority in the field.
The jury praised her “sharp craftsmanship, clear leadership, and forward-looking vision.” Kops builds stories that are meaningful and have demonstrable impact, which is precisely what modern PR is about: relevance that resonates. That Vera was emphatically nominated by multiple professionals for our PR-map, once again demonstrates how highly regarded she is.
PR Stunt of the year: Opening TeamNL House (NewsLab)
The PR Stunt of the Year was awarded to NewsLab for the opening of the TeamNL House, which served as a campaign platform during the Olympic Games. More than 70 sports legends were present, creating pure sports nostalgia and broad media attention.
The jury called it “a cleverly structured campaign that perfectly combines emotion and timing.” By putting sports heroes at the center and linking their stories to national feeling, NewsLab managed to create maximum media value. A lesson in how emotion and strategy come together in strong PR.
To be continued
The next awards ceremony is on December 3 at PHIL, also in Haarlem. Here, the M100 Event will take place, where prizes will be awarded in no less than 7 categories. One of these categories is the PR100, the list of the 100 most influential people in the Dutch PR world. Of course, Presscloud is represented in it as well, so with Sinterklaas evening approaching, it might be a delightful evening.
