Run your PR from Claude, with the Presscloud MCP server

The Presscloud MCP server connects Claude, or any other MCP client, to your Presscloud account. You ask in plain language for a press list, a draft press release or the results of a campaign, and Claude carries it out inside Presscloud. Available to agencies on the Enterprise plan.

What is MCP?

What is an MCP server, and what does the Presscloud one do?

MCP stands for Model Context Protocol, an open standard Anthropic published at the end of 2024. It describes how an AI client such as Claude may use tools from other systems. An MCP server is the side of that connection offering those tools.

Presscloud runs one of those servers on its own environment. Your client signs in with a personal access token and gets the Presscloud tools: search journalists, build press lists, draft press releases, schedule deliveries and read results back. No connector and no code of your own.

An open standard

MCP does not belong to Presscloud. Any client that speaks the standard can connect.

One server, every tool

You connect to a single URL. The tools your token is allowed to use show up in your client right away.

You keep the key

Your token carries scopes for reading, writing and sending. Revoke it whenever you want.

For agencies

Every client, one conversation

Busy, busy, busy. As an agency you keep a lot of balls in the air, and PR is the one that always waits. Good news: every Presscloud feature is now available as a tool through an MCP server, and Claude combines them into a working PR flow by itself. In plain language: give the instruction, check it, send it. Done. Next client!

You run your whole portfolio over the same connection. Ask for an overview of every campaign in flight, have press lists updated in bulk, or get last month's reporting ready for every client.

Which plan is this part of?

The MCP server comes with the Enterprise plan for agencies, together with your own access tokens and every client account under one login. No agency account yet? We will set it up with you.

What that sounds like in practice

"Show me every client with a campaign scheduled this month, and flag the ones without a press list."

"Send the Pockies collection release to the same list as last time, Tuesday 7am."

"Which journalists opened our last three mailings but never replied?"

Live in three steps

How do you connect Claude to Presscloud?

You do not need a developer. One token, one line of config, and you ask your first question.

1

Generate your token

Create a personal access token in your agency settings. You pick the scopes yourself: read, write and send.

2

Add the server

Paste the URL and your token into your client's MCP settings. One server, every Presscloud feature.

claude mcp add --transport http presscloud \
  https://presscloud.ai/mcp \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer $TOKEN"
3

Just ask

Talk to your PR department the way you would talk to a colleague. Claude picks the right actions in Presscloud itself.

"Get the Pockies collection launch ready for next Tuesday."
What Claude can do

The whole platform, as tools

From research to reporting: every step in your PR flow is a tool Claude can call itself. You stay in charge, because nothing goes out before you approve it.

Writing and sending stay separate. Sending always asks for your confirmation.
Your token carries scopes, so you decide whether a client can only read.
Your token never sees more than you see in the app yourself.

Questions about the MCP server

It is the connection between your AI client and your Presscloud account. Claude, Cursor or Zed gets the Presscloud tools through the server and uses them for your PR work: search journalists, build press lists, draft press releases, schedule deliveries and read results back.

Anything that speaks the Model Context Protocol. In practice that means Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and Zed, plus any other MCP client you use. The connection runs over HTTP with an access token.

No. You create a token in your agency settings, paste the server URL and the token into your client and ask your first question. That takes a few minutes and no code.

No. Writing and sending stay separate. A delivery is prepared and only goes out after you confirm it. Your token carries scopes, so you can also give a client read-only access.

The MCP server comes with the Enterprise plan for agencies, together with your own access tokens and every client account under one login. The agency pricing page lists what else is included.
